    Sherlock RP S3 planning

Post by Gwen Holmes on Sat Feb 08, 2014 5:52 pm

    Okay, so! Let's discuss what we're going to do with the RP. The things that have happened so far, are;
    - Mary's jewellery got stolen by a dark figure.
    - There is a body in their bedroom, on the bed, probably stabbed or shot.

What do you guys want to see this develop in?

About the jewells (because it seems to be all my fault, it was my idea after all), the question is : how the police knew the jewells had disappeared ? I was thinking about a second thief who tried to steal the jewells and saw that they were missing (perhaps Moriarty, but it would seem a little childish for him, or it would have to take part in a machiavellian plan). He would have find a way to inform the police without putting himself in the line of fire. (but how ? any idea ? an anonymous call ?). Only after that, a person would be killed in the bridal room.

Was it a girl ? Or a man ? And who exactly ? I don't know why but I was thinking about Mary's ex (can't remember his name)...

I don't think MoriRty woul do this, but we could definitely make it a plan to get back to Sherlock. The reason I say Sherlock is because if it'll be Mary's ex, then Sherlock could be a suspect, as they had the talk thingy, remember? Well, what if the ex told someone, and that someone tells the police?
I don't know, I'm just ranting on, butteh...

Yeah but what is the motive of Sherlock ? A little threat could put sherlock on the line of fire but it wouldn't be enough to put him in prison.
Maybe the jewells could be found on the body (put there by Moriarty) : so who would be so eager to protect John and Mary's things? Sherlock of course. But still I find it too small for an arrest. We have to remember that moriarty is a true genius

    Hi,

I'd like to avoid plot holes so that the case gets solved, believably.

Stuff the discoverer of the body should know - that's John and Mary:

is the body male or female,
what are they dressed in is it a wedding guest or staff or someone random?
if guest is it one of Mary's friends or one of John's
how long it has been there. ie Time Of Death. (John is a doctor he should be able to tell TOD )
why the person was in the room
    how did they get in
if it was a shooting did anyone hear or why didn't anyone hear
if it was a stabbing what sort of knife - from the kitchen or did the killer come armed?

Where is the wound on the body, back or front, is it one fatal wound, calculated to kill or was it a frenzied attack several wounds.

    Why was the person killed?

What was the point of stealing Mary's jewels? Why did someone steal them?
Is it the same case -is the jewel thief also a murderer
How does Sherlock know the jewellery had been stolen what were the details for the deduction he made.

    There's always a motivation for a crime.
Cause if it is a blond female guest it could be the killer mistook the woman for Mary brings up the question why does someone want to kill Mary? Why don't they know it wasn't Mary, is the wound in her back. Did the killer only see her from the back.

or if it's a young man member of staff did he find the bad guy in the room, is that why he got killed to prevent him calling for help/police and describing the baddie.

    Does that make sense?

That's just an idea but maybe the thief could be Tom, Molly's fiancé. Still seing the threat that represents Sherlock for his relationship with Molly, he would have wanted to advance their marriage : but he couldn't pay for it, he had to wait other months so they could gather enough money. Then he saw Mary at the wedding, with those precious jewels and said to himself it could be the opportunity.

So he waited for the after, he paid a staff to spill wine on John's trousers, he disguised in another staff, took the trousers to wash it, stole the keys of the room and the box, replaced them by some he had stole from somebody else (so when it would be noticed, it wouldn't be his own keys) and gave back the trousers to John.

Then he waited a bit longer, and when Sherlock left the party, it was the best moment for him not to be noticed : he went upstairs and stole the jewels. But he didn't know somebody else was watching : after all, Sherlock wasn't the only genius here, was he ? There was Robert Moriarty, Jim's twin (well, there was a post by Jimmy Moriarty, don't know if the person wants to continue).

I don't have any idea about what could have happened next, I'm afraid. At least, we know that Tom can't be the victim, he's not dead, but Molly and him break their engagement, Sherlcok say it in the last episode. Was it because he just tried to steal the jewels ? Or because he had killed someone ?
What Moriarty did when he saw him ? Did he make Tom a proposition to put Sherlock out of their ways ? And who has been murdered ?

Maybe they (Moriarty and Tom) were conversing when someone from the staff came in (the body). Moriarty would then (being the better killer of the two) strike fast before the man could call for help or warn someone, thus giving Tom no way to back out anymore.
They could form a pact, and that's all I've got for now. Smile

Yes that's a great idea! We have to find the reason for this person of the staff for enter the room. Perhaps it could be the same person Tom asked to spill sauce on John's trousers. He wouldn't have saw anything to Tom's request but became curious when he saw Tom going upstairs and be followed by someone he didn't recognise. He would have been eardropping and, wanting to know who was the second man (so Rob) and not being able to see it through the keyhole, he would have gone downstairs, gone out of the house, took something to climb up and watch Tom and Rob through the window. Obviously he would have been seen by Rob who made a sign to say him to enter the room, opening the window before.

Panicked, the waiter (lets say it's a waiter but it doesn't matter) would have tried to escape by going down his ladder and been shot by Rob

Yes! That would be a very good idea. But how would the corpse end up in the be if the waiter was outside?
He would've entered, and Rob would have walked close and stabbed him, as a shot would be heard most definitely. Then, the waiter could land on the bed. Right?

Maybe he was listening and went to stand up as he did he lost his balance leaned on the door and stumbled in. Then Moriarty killed him and placed him on the bed.

Yeah sorry I had to leave the forum so I didn't have time to write the rest. But I had an idea for that. Just tell me if it seems good or not :

So forst Rob shot him with a silencer on his gun (that would explain the fact that nobody heard it). The waiter (let's call him Evan or whatever), dead, was about to fall, but Rob, needing him in the room and being very close to him (as he opened the window just before), managed to catch him by a hand. Before pull Evan up, he made sure that blood had dropped on the soil outside. He then pulled him up, careful of not letting any other blood on the floor inside, and put him on the bed. Then he took the box of the jewels, opened it with Tom's key, and drop the box outside (someone found it, that's why the police knew the jewels had disapeared). Rob made a little mess with the room, putting down a cofee table and other things. He shot the soil near the box without the silencer (but the room was at the opposite of the party, that's why only a very few persons heard it) and shot in the air again without the silencer. So two shots had been heard. And two waiters had disapeared : Evan and Rob who was in the list of the staff.

The conclusion Rob wanted the police to make was this one : two waiters wanted to steal the jewels, but there was a fight (clue : the mess of the room) because one of them wanted the jewels for him alone (clue : the empty box found). It turned bad and the one with the jewels, seing Evan with a gun, shot him ; it wasn't a directly killing shot, though, and Evan had time to shot the other too (clue: that's why blood was found on the soil and on the ladder). But he was just injured and went down by the ladder (obviously, if he was dead he would have been found). So the police checked the names of the staff and would saw Rob's fake name, and then went to search someone called, let's say, Scott Lunn.

But Sherlock Holmes was not a fool and solved the murder. I don't know how exactly, I'll let Gwen Holmes find for us, you're the Sherlock here, aren't you ? Wink

    Thanks :-D
Oh and I forgot: if rob shot the soil and not the air the first time he did without the silencer, that was to make think there was an exit wound : if the police had seen blood and not any bullet they could think it could be any kind of weapon (rob couldn't be sure if the two shots had been heard). Yet the police wouldn't understand that the other waiter shot first (indeed if Evan had a knife and not a gun, he wouldn't be close enough to the other waiter to injure him) and the police would mess with the clues and wouldn't understand rightly what had happened. They would cut it would take time. It was just an assurance for Rob
